SV Tool Patch
 (April 2009)
02-Apr-09
March submission / Financial year end
The button from the submission list has been changed from a full financial year audit to only run for March. Instead an end of year module has been added which will only run for the full financial year 08/09. This module can be accessed from the file menu by selecting File > End of Year Module > Run. This will automatically launch after making your submission for March if a submission has not already been made using the End of Year Module.
Minor Surgery / Implanon
Multiple minor surgery or implanon procedures of different types on the same date will now generate separate claims this change is mostly to cover implanon removals and insertions performed on the same day.
Near-Patient Testing
Antipsychotic Injections (BNF chapter 4.2.2) have been added. Some date ranges for scripts and monitoring were slightly extended to match correctly with the data collection dates. Whenever you run the SV Tool for a date other than the end of the month the end date of the month will be used to check if a script and monitoring were recorded with in the required dates, this should mean that any patients that are passing when you run the SV Tool at the beginning of a month will still be passing at the end of the month. Enhanced service completed has been separated into 2 sections, one for those who completed before the start of the current financial year and a second section for those who completed during the current financial year but before the date range being audited. Inactive treatments of Mesalasine and Sulfasalasine should are longer be included in the payment report if they have been inactive for the dates the SV Tool was run for.
Falls Prevention
Previously an entry of completed, declined or not required was required to be recorded in the free text of the timed up and go test read code. Now if a result has been recorded then it is assumed that it was completed therefore removing the previous requirement. If a result was not required then completed, declined or not required should still be recorded.
Alcohol Brief Interventions
Patients who have had a brief intervention but never received a follow up will no longer be included in the follow ups report if more than 8 months have passed since their brief intervention.
